Ty McMillan is a construction and operations leader based in Utah's Heber Valley. For more than 20 years he has led construction crews and managed operations, building a career on a simple belief: the job holds when the people do.
Project management is at the core of Ty's work. Keeping multiple moving pieces on schedule takes clear planning, honest communication and steady follow-through from the first walkthrough to the final punch list. Ty has spent two decades coordinating crews, timelines and resources so that projects finish the way they were promised.
Safety always comes first. On every jobsite Ty leads, the priority order is clear: safety, then schedule, then client satisfaction. Getting the first one right makes the other two possible. A crew that goes home safe every night is a crew that can do its best work the next morning, and that consistency is what clients notice.
Client satisfaction is the measure that matters at the end of every project. Ty focuses on listening, setting realistic expectations and delivering quality work that holds up over time. That same attention to detail carries into his home remodel work, where he helps homeowners plan and complete improvements with the care of someone who has managed far larger operations.
Mentoring future leaders is the part of the job Ty is proudest of. Over the years he has invested in the people on his crews, teaching the skills, judgment and accountability that leadership requires. One of the people he mentored was promoted to superintendent, a milestone Ty counts as more meaningful than any single project. To him, real leadership means building the next leader.
Ty's approach to building a team is straightforward: hire for attitude, train for skill, and back your people when it counts. Strong crews are built on trust, and trust is built one day at a time on the jobsite.
Outside of work, Ty shares life in the Heber Valley with his partner, Alyssa Price. Together they enjoy the outdoors of the Wasatch Back and Heber Valley and time with family and friends.
